Victor is a data professional with an MSc in artificial intelligence and data science from the University of Hull. His academic research focused on automated medical image classification using deep learning, exploring how convolutional neural networks can support clinical decision-making. Professionally, he has worked with large operational datasets, identifying patterns and implementing data quality improvements that informed better business decisions.
His interests lie in applying logical and analytical thinking to complex data challenges, from data cleaning and validation through to analysis that generates insights critical for decision-making, particularly in health contexts. He is proficient in Python and Excel for data manipulation and analysis, with working knowledge of SQL for data extraction. His experience includes building data pipelines, performing exploratory analysis, and translating technical findings into actionable recommendations for stakeholders.
Through this internship, Victor aims to develop practical knowledge and real-world experience working with health datasets in secure research environments. He is eager to learn from the team, contribute to data quality and curation work that supports researchers, and build relationships while strengthening his ability to translate technical work into insights that inform public health research.
